How to Install Post Saddle Brackets for a Pergola on an Existing Concrete Slab

This do-it-yourself video will teach you how to install post saddle brackets onto an existing concrete slab for your pergola kit. If you already have an existing slab, we recommend using our Post Mount Bracket with rebar post.

Tools and Material you will need:

  • Drill with Masonry Bit (3/4” diameter)
  • Wrench
  • Level
  • Tape Measure
  • Exterior Epoxy Glue- found at most hardware stores.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON: Pergola Post Mount Bracket (Existing Patio Setup)

Instructions (second Step) for existing slab.

Step 1 – Drill hole in existing slab with masonry bit. Use OLT’s post location footprint for exact location.

Step 2 – Apply exterior epoxy glue to hole and bracket post.

Step 3 – Insert bracket into drilled hole.

Step 4 –Align bracket correctly before epoxy cures.
